You may have heard of Shoreditch Park – and for many Londoners this is where their knowledge of East End green spaces starts and stops. Listen to us though, and you’ll uncover a gem hidden (well, clearly located – it’s in an area called Victoria Park, and there’s even the lovely Victoria Park Village – but largely undiscovered by the rest of London) inside Hackney.
Victoria Park is therefore a treasure for those in the know. The park itself is cut through the middle by Grove Road and therefore comprises of two sections. Picturesque lakes can be found in each part, and as you enjoy the trees and shrubs that fill this space, you will come across deer enclosure. If you can’t get down to Richmond Park, this is great fun and an absolute must to visit.
