Whilst you might well find that your first year accommodation is provided via your university, it’s a common occurrence that once you move on, you will start having to find housing for yourself.

eros.jpgFinally, we should point out that if you want to catch some of London’s best art, you don’t actually need to go to a gallery at all! London’s streets are full of art and sculpture, from Banksy’s guerrilla art to the ornate statue of Eros in Piccadilly Circus. In fact, you can even go underground as well and explore the Tube’s impressive range of posters and installations (Gloucester Road normally has a very good installation indeed) as a part of their Platform Art programme.

Sculptures, of course, are largely permanent, but the transient nature of most street art makes it impossible to provide any kind of catalogue without expecting it to be outdated by the time it is read. Having said that, one piece that should survive – and one of our favourites in fact – is the two disused tube trains that hang over Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch. Other than that, keep an eye out for plenty of Banksy’s iconic stencils, as well as Andre the Giants and works by artists such as Eine, D*Face and Adam Neate.
