White teaDo you ever give much thought to the cup of tea or coffee you have in the morning? Admittedly, plenty of important contemporary issues, largely regarding Fair Trade, surround the raw production of the leaves and beans but what about the history of the drinks themselves? Intrigued? You should be! The Bramah Museum of Tea and Coffee, located just round the corner from London Bridge tube, is a fascinating social history of the leaves and beans, the ships that brought them to London from the Far East and Africa.

Once you’re done digesting over 400 years of history and want to reflect on it all for a while, we’d recommend heading over to the hugely popular Monmouth Coffee House in Borough Market, or to the original 17th century coffee rooms in the nearby George Inn.
