Newsflash

You wake up in your clothes from the night before, your shoes on your feet. You need sandpaper to clean your mouth and you have the name ‘Freddy’ written on your forehead. Your head feels like it’s locked in a vice grip. Part of student life is having a few stress-relieving drinks.

Even if you’re an English or Art student you will find the Science Museum has much more to offer than nerdy physicists and boring experiments. The displays inside are full to the brim with creative energy and as you walk around, passing from space to the Spitfire to simulators, there’s a real sense of immersion with what’s going on.

Keep an eye out too for the various special exhibitions that the Science Museum puts on. Never a place to sit idly, the museum is always bringing new things to the public’s attention, or trying to engage with the arts in new and exciting ways.

As you may have noticed, we have a soft spot for the Science Museum. It’s imposing stone building has been it’s home since 1857 and this old Victorian lady is definitely worth popping into when you have a spare afternoon.
