Newsflash

This goes out to all foreign students studying in the UK.
You arrive at Heathrow and take the train to go off to a smaller town, somewhere in the UK to study the course you always dreamed of, or the course your parents forced you to study, or the course you think will get you a very well paid job, or the course you happened to get the grades for…

london-eye.jpgAlthough many of London’s sights stem from its long and colourful history, there are of course more modern ones as well. The pick of these, and certainly one of the most prominent, is the London Eye.

Built to mark the turn of the millennium, it proved far more welcome to Londoners than the Millennium Dome (although the latter has since been revitalised as the O2 Arena). It’s not hard to see why. The views over the City and down the Thames are fantastic – equalled really only by those seen from Tower Bridge. It takes about half an hour to go round – be warned though, this is very popular with tourists so get there early or try and avoid weekends if you want to beat the queue.

Oh, and steer clear on cloudy days. On a bright clear day you can see miles of breathtaking panoramas – on a cloudy day you can’t see much at all!
